For some reason I don’t remember exactly, I was frequenting a favourite lunch spot in Chinatown during my transition back into consulting. I think it was because I was looking for some fortune cookie wisdom at that time.
It was uncanny how many pieces of wisdom I collected from those crunchy little things. So, here they are… more words to live by.
GIVE TIME AND THOUGHT TO EVERYTHING YOU DO.
CLARITY OF MIND HELPS IN DECISION MAKING.
ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES FOR THAT WHICH IS GENUINE.
YOUR STRONG PRINCIPLES WILL LEAD YOU TO HAPPINESS.
YOUR GENUINE TALENT WILL FIND ITS WAY TO SUCCESS.
RELY ON YOUR OWN GOOD JUDGEMENT TO LEAD YOU TO SUCCESS.
UTILIZE YOUR TALENT FOR GETTING THINGS ORGANIZED.
BEING THE FIRST TO TRY SOMETHING NEW COULD BE GREAT.
It’s a little strange, but before I even knew what I was going to write about this afternoon I had a huge craving for a big bowl of Lor Wor Won Ton Soup at that same restaurant! Maybe I subconsciously wanted another fortune cookie….
Wonderful wisdom from the soup bowl, I guess, Kim … so to speak.
Many thanks,
L.
